THE FIGHT
EDIT.

I’m Quitry. I make UFC edits for the moments you want to run back. This is where I get into the fights, the fighters I follow, and the details that hit different on replay.

MY THREE
TO WATCH.

Arman Tsarukyan, Ilia Topuria, and Islam Makhachev. I watch all three for different reasons. Here’s what I look for when I go back through their fights.

Wrestling & transitions

Arman Tsarukyan

Arman is the one I watch when a scramble looks like it should be over. He can turn a defended takedown into another attack before his opponent has reset. His UFC debut against Makhachev is a great place to start if you want to see how many positions can change in a single exchange.

Watch for the second effort after his first shot gets stuffed.

Boxing & cage cutting

Ilia Topuria

The punch that ends a Topuria highlight usually has a setup worth watching. Against Alexander Volkanovski at UFC 298, the finish came as the fight moved close to the fence. Run the sequence back and watch how Ilia steps into range and leaves himself balanced enough to throw with power.

Watch for where his feet land before he throws the right hand.

Pressure & submissions

Islam Makhachev

With Islam, I pay attention to what happens after the takedown. The small adjustments are easy to miss live. A grip changes, the angle closes, and the way out disappears. His submission of Dustin Poirier at UFC 302 is worth slowing down for exactly that reason.

Watch for the change of angle just before he locks in the finish.

02 / Inside the cage

CHANGE
THE ANGLE.

From up high, it’s easier to see who owns the centre and who keeps getting pushed back. From cageside, you get a better sense of how little room there is once a fighter’s heels are near the fence.

Switch views to look around the 3D cage. When you watch the next clip, try following the space between the fighters and the fence for a few seconds.

THE EDITS.

Three clips from my TikTok to start with. The long rounds give you the context. The edits are where I play with the moments everyone wants to replay.
